KTKC Donor Spotlight: Brownells

Brownells

When I first went begging, hat in hand, for prizes for our first fundraising challenge, people told me, “You need to call Larry Weeks of Brownells. Great company, and one of the nicest guys in the gun biz.” Our first conversation was short and sweet:

“Cancer charity? Organized by EMTs, cops and shooters? bunch of gun bloggers participating? What can Brownells do to help?”

They’ve donated gift certificates and merchandise worth thousands of dollars, been helpful in cultivating new contacts, and helped publicize our cause.

Larry’s retired now, but his replacement Roy Hill is every bit as classy as his predecessor. This year, our Dreadnaught AR15 sports some components and magazines from Brownells, and someone is going to get a boatload of 1911 magazines, too.

Now, I know that most of the gun nuts who read this blog and support KTKC have heard of Brownells, and probably done business with them.

They’re probably not going to get a bump in their sales because of a little linky love from me, but in your next order, if you drop them a comment expressing your appreciation for their support of KTKC, I’d be grateful.

Their participation every year is proof positive that their generosity community spirit extends well outside the shooting sports.
