Several of the kilted bloggers and readers raising money for Kilted To Kick Cancer have personally been touched by prostate cancer. Either they have had it, or a close relative has. It stands to reason; 1 in 6 men will develop prostate cancer in their lifetimes. 1 in 36 will die from it.
And just this week, prostate cancer hit very close to home for one of our fundraisers.
Medic Matthew is a good friend, a fellow shooter, medic and EMS blogger and a great guy.
