The Fund Raising Challenge:

  1. You must be 21 to enter, and be eligible to own or possess a handgun and/or ammunition. All firearms transfers are subject to applicable FFL transfer laws and the laws of your state. Firearms winners must pay the applicable FFL transfer fee.
  2. Wear a kilt for the month of September, Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. If you’d prefer to raise funds without going kilted, that’s okay. Kilts aren’t for everyone. But seriously, give it a try. It’s liberating!
  3. Post a photo of yourself in your kilt on the front stage of your blog, with a link to the Kilted to Kick Cancer homepage. If you’re not going kilted, then put up the official Kilted to Kick Cancer badge or logo in lieu of a photo.
  4. Sign up as a donor to Kilted to Kick Cancer, a 501(c)3 charity. Email [email protected] and register your team name and you’re in! All fundraisers from last year are already in this year’s challenge by default. Join us!
  5. Solicit donations, and may the top fundraiser win! For this year only, due to the current devastation from Hurricane Harvey, in addition to direct donation to Kilted to Kick Cancer, we will count donations made in your team’s name to the following highly rated Hurricane Harvey charities:
    1. Houston Food Bank
    2. Food Bank of Corpus Christi
    3. Center for Disaster Philanthropy Hurricane Harvey Recovery Fund
    4. J.J. Watt’s Fundraiser for Hurricane Harvey Relief

Simply donate to one of these worthy charities, in the name of your favorite KTKC Fundraising Team, and forward your donation receipt to [email protected]. In the subject line, put, “Credit to Fundraising Team [insert team name here].”

  1. You can start fundraising as early as you like, and keep soliciting donations all year long, but only the donations made from 00:01 CST on September 1 through 23:59 CST on September 30 will count toward the fundraising challenge.
  2. Top four fundraisers will win a set of nice gifts, generously donated by a lot of good people from the shooting community. Top fundraiser chooses first from our prize packages, second places chooses second, third place chooses third, and so on. What are the prize packages? Glad you asked!
