Confessions of an EMS Newbie is a new EMS podcast, aimed at the EMT student or rookie EMT. It’s a collaboration between Ron Davis and myself, and credit for the idea goes to Ron.
Ron is a shooter, and a blogger, and he has my dream job, which is to say he gets to spend his days taking pictures of beautiful women. It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it.
As it turns out, I also have Ron’s dream job, because there has always been a sparky little EMT in him itching to get out.Just last week, he started the classes necessary to achieve that goal.
When he approached me with the idea for this podcast, I jumped at the chance. It will be the only EMS podcast out there aimed specifically at the new EMT or EMT student, so if you’re one of those, go sign up for the weekly podcast, and encourage your classmates to do the same. Subscribers will get a series of helpful tips on practical skills, study hints, and clinical pearls and pitfalls, penned by Yours Truly.
Every week, we’ll discuss what Ron learns in EMT class, both from the newbie’s perspective and that of an experienced medic and EMS instructor.
