Veterans’s Day

I never served.

But I understand brotherhood, and I understand sacrifice.

And so today, I salute you, the Brotherhood of Arms, for the sacrifices you have made in the name of freedom.

The veterans of the armed services of this country have sweated, toiled, bled and died around the globe to secure the blessings of liberty, not only for their fellow Americans, but for many citizens of the world who will never appreciate or recognize their sacrifice.

But I recognize it.

No words I could offer are worthy payment of the debt we owe you, but know that I am thankful, and I will teach my daughter to be as well.
